Gareth Lewis to Join APAC Cross-Border E-Commerce Panel at Retail Show Australia 2026

Retail Show Australia 2026 is pleased to welcome Gareth Lewis, COO of the National Omni Retailers Association, to the panel discussion:

“From Local to Regional: Winning Cross-Border E-Commerce in APAC”

APAC growth looks different in every market. Consumer behaviour, platform ecosystems, local partnerships, logistics, and digital maturity can vary significantly from one country to another, making regional expansion a complex but important opportunity for retailers.

Hosted by Joseph Yuen of the Hong Kong Federation of Electronic Commerce, the panel will bring together perspectives from Rupa Rupa, the Malaysia Cross Border E-Commerce Association, and Australia’s National Omni Retailers Association to examine cross-border e-commerce from different parts of the region.

The discussion will explore the practical questions behind successful regional growth, including which market conditions matter most, where brands commonly encounter challenges, how platform and ecosystem partnerships differ across countries, and what effective expansion looks like in practice.

Gareth brings an Australian omni-retail perspective to the conversation, connecting the wider APAC discussion back to local retail, e-commerce, technology adoption, and industry collaboration.

Join Retail Show Australia 2026 to hear regional industry leaders share practical perspectives on cross-border growth and the opportunities shaping the future of retail across APAC.
