Woolworths’ eCommerce Business Reaches A$10.6 Billion

Woolworths’ eCommerce business has reached A$10.6 billion, with online sales increasing 15.9% in FY26 as digital continues to become more deeply integrated into everyday grocery retail.

At the same time, Australian Food sales rose 4.6% to A$53.85 billion, while the new financial year has opened at a faster pace, with Woolworths Food sales up 7.6% across the first eight weeks.

At more than A$10 billion, online grocery is no longer a separate digital channel. It increasingly depends on the same operating network behind the store — inventory, fulfilment, delivery, supply chain and availability — while value remains central to winning the weekly shop.

This reflects a broader shift across Australian retail: more customer choice at the front end, supported by increasingly connected operations behind the scenes.

Retail Show Australia 2026 will bring these parts of the industry together in Melbourne this September, across retail technology, AI, payments, store design, security, energy, fulfilment and retail operations.
