The second edition of the Retail Show Australia is driving the next wave of ecommerce and AI-powered retail growth on September 22–24, 2026.

Retail Show Australia 2026 will take place on September 22–24, 2026, at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), marking the event’s exciting return following its strong industry reception in 2025. Now entering its second year, the show is expanding in scale, ambition, and global reach—establishing itself as one of the most future-focused retail events across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia–Pacific region.

Driven by the momentum of its inaugural year, Australia’s dedicated next-generation retail show—Retail Show Australia (RSA)—continues its mission to build a dynamic platform where retailers, brands, suppliers, and innovators from Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia–Pacific can connect, collaborate, and explore the next evolution of retail. As the industry navigates rapid digitalisation, rising operational costs, and increasingly tech-driven consumer behaviour, RSA 2026 aims to serve as both a learning hub and a launchpad for new ideas shaping the future of retail across the region.

The three-day event will bring together thousands of retail professionals and feature hundreds of exhibiting brands showcasing smart retail technologies, e-commerce solutions, shopfitting and store design, health and fitness brands, digital payments, AI-driven retail intelligence, and immersive consumer experience technologies. With more product categories and expanded exhibition zones, the 2026 edition promises an even richer experience for attendees.

A Fully Visualised & Experiential Retail Environment

A signature feature of Retail Show Australia is its immersive and highly visualised event environment. Rather than a traditional booth-based layout, RSA creates interactive real-world retail scenarios that help attendees understand how cutting-edge technology integrates into the customer journey. In 2026, these experiential showcases will expand further—giving visitors hands-on insights into how stores of the future will operate.

The environment will demonstrate innovations in areas such as connected store systems, robotics and automation, interactive digital displays, predictive analytics, next-generation POS, and frictionless customer pathways. By blending concept with execution, RSA allows retailers to explore practical applications that can be implemented immediately or guide long-term strategic planning.

A Premier Hub for Retail Innovation

Entering its second year, Retail Show Australia is rapidly becoming a key destination for the retail community in Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia–Pacific region. As markets across the region face structural shifts—triggered by digital acceleration, global supply chain pressure, workforce change, and the rise of AI—the 2026 event aims to deliver the insights and tools needed to navigate the next era of retail growth across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia–Pacific region.

The 2026 stage programme will feature a strengthened speaker lineup, bringing together influential leaders from global and local retail ecosystems. Attendees can expect thought-provoking sessions across critical areas, including:

  • The future of retail and changing consumer expectations
  • AI, machine learning, and data-powered retail intelligence
  • Sustainability, energy efficiency, and circular retail models
  • Omnichannel transformation and digital commerce evolution
  • Leadership, workforce development, and future retail skills
  • Global supply chain modernisation and last-mile logistics

Across the show floor, attendees will also experience upgraded interactive zones, including:

  • AI-Powered Zone – Offering hands-on demonstrations of AI-driven retail solutions, from smart operations to personalised consumer engagement.
  • Future Store Interactive Zone – A real-life, walk-through retail environment showcasing how next-generation smart stores will function.
  • Fitness & Sports Area – Presenting more than 200 brands, live product showcases, and competitive fitness activities.
  • High-Level Summit Forum – A premium knowledge-sharing platform connecting global retail decision-makers and trendsetters.

These zones are designed to deepen engagement and empower retailers with insights into how innovation can be applied in day-to-day operations.

Building Community

Retail Show Australia 2026 is gaining expanded support from industry associations, media outlets, retail communities, and technology providers. Building on its 2025 foundation, the show has continued to strengthen its partnerships—most recently welcoming Power Retail and Inside Retail as official media partners, further amplifying its influence across Australia’s omnichannel, digital, and mainstream retail sectors.

In addition to media partnerships, RSA 2026 is also supported by key industry associations, including the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) and the Australia Restaurant & Café Association (ARCA). Their involvement reinforces the show’s connection with the broader business events ecosystem as well as the rapidly growing foodservice, hospitality, and café retail segments across the region. These partnerships highlight RSA’s commitment to building an inclusive and forward-looking community that represents the full spectrum of retail in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia–Pacific.

To foster meaningful collaboration and business growth, RSA 2026 will introduce enhanced networking programmes, including:

  • 1v1 Meeting Room – A structured matchmaking system designed to connect buyers and suppliers through targeted business meetings.
  • The Retail Leaders Summit – An executive-level gathering that provides strategic insights, high-level dialogue, and access to leading thinkers shaping global retail.

These programmes reinforce Retail Show Australia’s long-term vision: to build a collaborative, innovation-focused community that drives the retail sector forward.

A Vision for the Future of Retail

“Retail in Australia and New Zealand is entering a new era—powered by AI, shifting consumer behaviour, and a rapidly evolving physical retail landscape,” said the RSA organising team. “As we return for our second edition, Retail Show Australia 2026 is designed not only to help the industry understand these transformations, but to experience them firsthand. We look forward to welcoming the entire retail community back to Melbourne next September.”

Local and international retailers, technology innovators, industry leaders, and solution providers are encouraged to mark their calendars for one of the region’s most forward-looking retail events.
